Jessica Harney

Jessica Harney is a Senior Lecturer and Chair of the Department of Occupational Therapy at Tufts University, School of Arts and Sciences. She holds a B.S. in Occupational Therapy from Boston University and a DPT from the MGH Institute of Health Professions. Her professional roles include serving as a Senior International Medical Classifier for World Para-Alpine Skiing and Snowboarding under the International Paralympic Committee, and as President of New England Disabled Sports, a nonprofit providing adaptive sports programs.

Her research and professional interests focus on orthopedics, sports medicine for young athletes, and community health initiatives. Jessica’s administrative roles at Tufts include Chair (since July 2024), Associate Chair (2022–2024), and Senior Lecturer (since 2017). Prior to this, she served as a Lecturer from 2013 to 2017.

Her community work emphasizes adaptive sports and inclusive health programs for individuals with disabilities, reflecting her commitment to accessibility and wellness.
