Shefali Christopher is an Associate Professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences at Tufts University School of Medicine. She serves as Director of Admissions and core faculty for the Tufts DPT Seattle program. Her roles include clinical specialist in sports physical therapy and active membership in the APTA American Academy of Sports Physical Therapy (AASPT).

Research Interests: Focus on return-to-sport postpartum and injury recovery. Her work explores biomechanical changes in pregnant/postpartum runners, musculoskeletal impairments, and clinical decision tools for postpartum athletes. Research spans epidemiology of athlete injuries, sports nutrition, and resilience.
Publications & Awards: Over 30 peer-reviewed articles and conference presentations. Honors include the AASPT Excellence in Teaching Award (2020) and the 2023 Academy of Pelvic Health Research Grant. Active in clinical service, including medical liaison for USA Paratriathlon at the Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 Paralympics.
Teaching: Instructs courses in Anatomy, Clinical and Population Health, and Evidence-Based Practice at Tufts. Lab instructor for Advanced Therapeutic Exercise.
Professional Activities: Editor for Journal of Women's and Pelvic Health, clinical service with USA Paratriathlon and USA Paraswimming teams, and Board Certified Sports Specialist (ABPTS).
Grants & Service: 2023 Pelvic Health Research Grant. Collaborates with USA Olympic & Paralympic Committee as a physical therapist. Active in clinical service and global athlete support.
