Jeremiah Patterson is Professor of Foundation at the Hartford Art School, University of Hartford. A practicing artist specializing in representational painting, he teaches foundational art courses and co-directs Summer Workshops in Italy focused on traditional Renaissance techniques. His work has been exhibited nationally and featured in publications including PleinAir Magazine and American Art Collector.
Artistic practice encompasses still life, landscape, and figurative subjects executed in watercolor, egg tempera, and silverpoint. Patterson's technical research explores historical methods adapted to contemporary practice.
He has received recognition including the Bob Kadis Watercolor Award and City of Ragusa Medal of Art & Culture for cultural exchange work in Sicily.
