Jenny M. Martin

Dr. Jenny M. Martin is an Associate Professor of Education at Bridgewater College, where she teaches courses such as Introduction to Education, Educational Psychology, and Content Area Literacy. Her research focuses on voice in secondary English classrooms, digital internships in teacher preparation, and co-teaching strategies. She holds a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from Virginia Tech, along with a B.S. in English and M.A. in Education from Radford University and Eastern Mennonite University, respectively.

Her professional interests include fostering student engagement through choice and purpose in learning, and she actively collaborates with local schools to support teacher candidates. Dr. Martin has presented at national conventions and contributed to journals, emphasizing teacher development and innovative pedagogical practices. She has also engaged in advocacy efforts, such as participating in NCTE’s Capitol Hill Advocacy Day with students.
