Dr. Jennifer Rodgers serves as Assistant Director of Choral Activities and Assistant Teaching Professor of Voice at Iowa State University's Department of Music. She directs the Cantamus and Lyrica ensembles and mentors students across voice majors and non-majors. Her work bridges traditional and contemporary vocal training, emphasizing choral pedagogy and inclusive practices.
Education: DMA in Choral Conducting (University of Washington, 2020), MM in Voice/Opera (University of Maryland, 1996), and BM in Voice Performance (Ithaca College, 1993).
Research focuses on choral singing voice training, avocational adult singers, and choral relevance through inclusivity. She has presented internationally and founded a non-profit theater company promoting educational/community partnerships.
Prior to ISU, she worked as a freelance conductor, voice teacher, and performer in Washington, D.C., reimagining community choruses as Artistic Director.
