Kyungouk Ko

Dr. Kyungouk Ko serves as adjunct music faculty at Inver Hills Community College and Minister of Music at Immanuel Lutheran Church (ELCA), Eden Prairie, with expertise in extending musical accessibility and cultural awareness across diverse communities.

Education:

• Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) from University of Nebraska-Lincoln
• Master of Music (MM) from University of Louisville
• Bachelor of Music (BM) from Yonsei University

His research centers on Choral Conducting and Sacred Music, notably analyzing George Lynn's Sacred Symphony for Voices Alone in his doctoral dissertation. He actively promotes inclusive music education and cross-cultural engagement through community programs and academic instruction for all age groups.

Supported by academic grants from the University of Colorado and University of Nebraska, Dr. Ko founded the Bach Collegium Ensemble and collaborated with prestigious organizations including Washington Choral Arts Society, Cathedral Choral Society, and University of Louisville's Cardinal Singers under renowned conductors Norman Scribner, Dr. J. Reilly Lewis, and Dr. Kent Hatteberg.
