Jennifer Guy is an Assistant Professor in the Tourism and Hospitality Management Program at Mount Saint Vincent University (MSVU). She holds a Master of Education in Lifelong Learning (2010) and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Human Nutrition (2000), both from MSVU, and is currently a PhD candidate in Educational Studies. Her professional designations include Registered Dietitian and Food Safety Trainer. She has extensive industry experience as a former Atlantic Territory Manager for Nestlé Healthcare Nutrition (2000–2010) and has taught in both nutrition and education departments at MSVU.
Her research focuses on adult education, intercultural learning through food, and professionalization of dietetics. Key contributions include developing the MSVU Dietetic Bridging Process (2011), which received the IQN Innovation Award (2015), and co-chairing the Kinu Indigenous Tourism Program (2022–2025). She has authored peer-reviewed book chapters and articles on topics such as cultural food experiences of international students and sustainable bridging programs for dietetics.
Dr. Guy’s teaching spans undergraduate and graduate courses in tourism, hospitality, and nutrition, including THMT 1101 (Introduction to Tourism), NUTR 2260 (Cultural Context of Dietetics), and GSLL 6215 (Continuing Professional Education). She has supervised dietetic interns and contributed to curriculum development in both tourism and nutrition programs.
