Jennifer Easler, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of English at the University of Providence. She holds a B.A. from St. Olaf College (English, Classics, Medieval Studies, 2010), an M.A. in Classics from the University of Colorado–Boulder (2013), and dual M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in English from the University of Minnesota (2021–2022, with a minor in Medieval Studies). Her research focuses on classical reception in medieval and early modern English literature, particularly the Trojan War narrative and its influence on authors like Chaucer, Lydgate, and Shakespeare. She also explores prophecy, literary tradition, and translation studies.
Dr. Easler teaches writing courses at UP and is actively involved in the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences (SLAS). She emphasizes curiosity and collaboration in her teaching philosophy, advising students to 'ask for help when you need it.'
Her hobbies include reading/writing fantasy literature, playing flute and piano, and studying dead languages. She recently relocated to Montana, where she enjoys exploring Great Falls’ coffee shops and libraries.
