Jen Pylypa is a researcher in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Carleton University, focusing on medical anthropology, transnational adoption, and immigrant health. She holds a B.A. in anthropology from the University of British Columbia and an M.A. and Ph.D. in medical and cultural anthropology from the University of Arizona.
- Research Interests: Health and well-being of women/children, self-medication practices, global health worker migration, Southeast Asia (Laos/Thailand), and immigrant communities in North America.
