Jeff Pardue is a Professor of History and Department Head for History, Anthropology, and Philosophy at the University of North Georgia. He holds a Ph.D., M.A., and two B.A. degrees in History and English from the University of Waterloo (1997) and the University of Wyoming (1990-1991). His research focuses on 19th-century Britain, the British Empire, slavery, the Caribbean, and Atlantic World studies. He teaches courses including World History I & II, 19th-century Europe, Caribbean History, and Atlantic World topics.
His scholarship bridges imperial history with Atlantic studies, exploring themes like British anti-slavery policies, Caribbean colonialism, and historical narratives in education. Recent publications include analyses of Fernando Po’s role in anti-slavery efforts and pedagogical strategies for world history courses. Pardue combines academic leadership with a commitment to fostering an inclusive academic environment, aligning with the university’s mission to uphold free expression and safety.
