Elena A. Schneider is an Associate Professor of History at the University of California, Berkeley, holding the Sonne Chair in Latin American History. Her research focuses on Cuba, the Caribbean, and the Atlantic World, emphasizing colonialism, slavery, and the experiences of marginalized communities.
