Jeff Lash

Jeff Lash serves as Associate Professor of Geography and Geography Program Chair within the College of Human Sciences and Humanities at the University of Houston-Clear Lake, teaching diverse geography courses while conducting research on human development through education in local and international contexts.

His academic background includes:

• B.A. in Art History from the University of Texas at Austin (1992)
• ESL Teaching Certificate from Transworld Teachers, San Francisco (1994)
• M.A. in Geography Education from Texas State University (1996)
• Ph.D. in Geography from Texas State University (2001)

Dr. Lash's research bridges human geography and educational studies, examining how educational systems drive human development across cultural and geopolitical boundaries. His international fieldwork in Morocco and Costa Rica informs comparative analyses of educational export models and cross-cultural pedagogy.

His scholarly recognition includes:
