Professor Jean Ammar serves as Head of English Language Support at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM), a role she has held since 1995. She leads the School of Academic Studies’ in-sessional language support programs and oversees the RNCM Pre-sessional course. A资深 academic with qualifications including a PhD, MEd (TESOL), and MA (Victorian Studies), she specializes in ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) and has extensive experience in both UK and international education. Her research explores interpersonal communication in educational settings, with a focus on 19th-century Manchester and Victorian literature.
She has received multiple accolades, including the Times Higher Education Award for her innovative Read with the World Project, which fosters cross-cultural exchange between students.
