Jayne Decker

Jayne Decker serves as Principal Lecturer in Humanities and Theatre and Mainstage Director at the University of Maine at Farmington, affiliated with the Division of Arts, Humanities, Social Science and Business. She teaches courses in acting, directing, social and political theatre, commedia, and physical performance within the university's academic structure.

Her educational background includes a Master of Arts from the University of Maine (1987) and a Certificate of Studies from Appalachian State University, Boone, NC (1997).

Decker's professional expertise spans Theatre, Drama, Acting, Directing, Political Theatre, Commedia dell'arte, and Physical Theatre. As both a playwright and director, she integrates practical industry experience into her pedagogy, particularly through the UMF Honors program and Division of Arts, Humanities, Social Science and Business curriculum.
