Jason Valdez

Jason Valdez serves as Adjunct Professor of Guitar and Director of the Guitar Ensemble at St. Mary's University. With a performance background spanning Tejano, jazz, and cruise line entertainment, Valdez brings extensive industry experience to his pedagogical approach. His research interests encompass guitar pedagogy and ensemble performance techniques.

Valdez maintains an active performance career in South Texas, collaborating with notable artists including Tom Braxton, Marcy Grace Band, and San Antonio Jazz Orchestra. He has contributed to multiple albums including Jim Waller's 'Bucket List' and Audra Menconi's 'Make It Good'.
