Research Focus
His scholarship centers on three interconnected domains:
- Marxist theory - Re-examining concepts of alienation, labor, and communist society
- Political philosophy - Exploring justice, freedom, and ideological frameworks
- Ethics - Investigating moral dimensions of social systems and economic structures
His forthcoming book Karl Marx's Vision of the Good Society: Work, Solidarity and Human Flourishing (Oxford University Press) presents a novel interpretation of Marx's social philosophy.
Publication Trends
Kandiyali's 10 most recent journal articles (2013-2025) demonstrate consistent focus on Marxist political theory, with evolving examinations of freedom-necessity dialectics, communist viability, socialist-republican compatibility, and distributive justice. His work frequently engages with contemporary applications of classical philosophy.
