Dr. Jamila Mascat is an Assistant Professor of Gender and Postcolonial Studies at Utrecht University's Department of Media and Culture Studies, and a research affiliate at the Institute of Cultural Inquiry (ICON). She coordinates the MA Gender Studies program and teaches courses in Gender Studies, Postcolonial Studies, Critical Theory, and Critical Race Studies. Her transdisciplinary work bridges Political Philosophy (especially German Idealism and Marxism) with Postcolonial and Feminist Theories.
