Chiara Montalti

Chiara Montalti is a Research Fellow and Teaching Tutor in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Bologna. Her current research project, Cripistemology: the disabled experience in the cultural fabric, is supervised by Prof. Roberto Brigati. She previously held a Post-Doc position at the University of Salento (2023-2024) within the Horizon 2020 AInCP project, and a PhD in Philosophy from the Universities of Florence and Pisa (2018-2022). She also served as a Visiting Researcher at the University of Oslo (2021).

Her research focuses on disability studies, feminist theory, gender studies, and posthumanism, often intersecting with queer theory. She has collaborated with the Istituto Italiano per gli Studi Filosofici on projects like Maps. A World of Words and public engagement initiatives.
