Jack Bankowsky

Jack Bankowsky is an Adjunct Professor at the Grad Art program, serving as Editor-at-Large at Artforum and founding editor of Bookforum. He previously held roles as Editor-in-Chief of Artforum (1992–2003) and editor of Bookforum (1996–1998). His curatorial work includes major exhibitions such as Pop Life (Tate Modern, 2009) and Sculpture After Sculpture (Moderna Museet, 2014). He has been a visiting scholar at Yale University (2004–2005) and UCLA (2009), and has authored essays on contemporary artists like Richard Prince, Rachel Harrison, and GuytonWalker.

Research interests focus on contemporary art practices, curatorial methodologies, and critical writing. His academic contributions include teaching graduate seminars on art theory and practice.
