Andrew Hunt is a Professor of Fine Art and Curating at Manchester Metropolitan University’s Manchester School of Art. He is a curator, writer, and educator with significant contributions to contemporary art institutions and curatorial practices. Hunt has directed galleries such as Focal Point Gallery and founded Reading International, focusing on expanding critically independent art spaces. His doctoral research addressed institutional growth post-financial crisis. He co-founded the Slimvolume publishing imprint and established Moon Grove, an independent gallery in Manchester.
His research interests span curatorial strategies, contemporary art institutional development, and art publishing.
