Jacek Strzelecki

Prof. Dr. hab. Jacek Strzelecki is a full professor at the Faculty of Painting, University of Arts in Poznań, where he heads the First Drawing Studio. Born in Gniezno in 1959, he graduated with distinction from the State Secondary School of Fine Arts in Poznań (1978) and later earned his diploma with honors from the Poznań State Higher School of Fine Arts (now University of Arts in Poznań) under Prof. Jan Świtka (1983). His career began as an assistant in Prof. Świtka's studio, progressing to professorship.

Strzelecki's artistic practice spans:

• Easel painting techniques and methodologies
• Traditional and experimental drawing
• Large-scale monumental painting
• Interdisciplinary approaches to visual arts

Awards & Honors:

• Ministry of Culture and Art Scholarship (1984-1985)
• Maria Dokowicz Competition Laureate
• Two-time Jan Spychalski Painting Competition winner (Distinction & 2nd Prize)

He leads the First Drawing Studio at the Faculty of Painting, mentoring emerging artists and contributing to curriculum development. His works are held in prominent collections across Poland, Australia, USA, Sweden, Netherlands, Germany, and Austria through numerous solo and group exhibitions.
