Ingo Berensmeyer is a Full Professor of Modern English Literature at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU Munich), Germany. He holds the Chair in the Department of Anglistik und Amerikanistik under the Faculty of Languages and Literatures. Previously, he served as a Full Professor at Justus Liebig University Giessen (2008–2018) and held visiting roles at Ghent University and UC Irvine. His research focuses on literary theory, authorship studies, book history, and early modern English literature. He co-edited The Cambridge Handbook of Literary Authorship (2019) and authored Angles of Contingency (2007/2020).
