Ian Browne

Ian Browne is a Senior Lecturer in Social Work at the University of Chester's Faculty of Health, Medicine and Society, appointed in March 2022. His professional background includes roles as Senior Practice Lead (2018-2022) and Children's Social Worker (2013-2018) at Cheshire West and Chester Council and Leeds City Council. He holds an LLB Hons Law Degree from the University of Liverpool (2009) and a Masters in Social Work from Liverpool John Moores University (2012).

His pedagogical approach integrates practice experience into teaching, particularly in skills development and placement coordination for social work students.
