Hugo G. di Risio

Brigadier Hugo G. di Risio, a distinguished academic and military leader in the Argentine Air Force, has dedicated his career to logistics, quality management, and aerospace engineering. He earned a Master of Science in Logistics Management from the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) in 2002 and has served as a Professor at institutions like the National Tech University and Universidad del Salvador since 1983.

• Education: Graduated from the Argentine Air Force's Military School of Aviation (1979), with bachelor's degrees in Aeronautical and Mechanical Engineering (1982) and Aerial and Space Systems Management. Completed 40+ postgraduate courses, including an M.S. in Quality Management (Buenos Aires Tech Institute, 1997) and M.S. in Logistics Management (AFIT, 2002).
• Research & Expertise: Focuses on logistics optimization, aircraft maintenance, risk analysis, and industrial organization. Authored the book Argentinean Manual for Logistics (2010) and delivered lectures on AAF cargo capabilities and commercial aviation.
• Awards: Recognized as Small Business Men of the Year by the President of Argentina in 1988 for leading experimental aircraft manufacturing at El Palomar Tech School.
• Professional Roles: Currently serves as General Director for Military Airworthiness in the Argentine Air Force. Former roles include C-130 Depot Level Maintenance Squadron Chief and technical researcher in the Zone 1 Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (35 cases).
• Personal Life: An avid half marathon runner and amateur jazz drummer. Married to Ana María with three children in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
