Holly Johnson is an Emeritus Professor and former Associate Dean for Innovation and Opportunity at Teachers College, University of Cincinnati, where she heads the Division of Teacher Education. Her research focuses on literacy education, teacher preparation, and social justice in middle school contexts. She holds a Ph.D. in Language, Reading, and Culture from the University of Arizona, with additional degrees from the University of Louisville and UC Santa Barbara.
Research Interests: Dr. Johnson investigates teacher preparation, adolescent literacy, multicultural literature, and qualitative methodologies. Her work emphasizes social justice education through critical pedagogy and explores how literature can foster inclusive classroom environments.
