Helen Trelford

Helen Trelford is a Lecturer in Education (Primary English and Literacy) at the School of Education & Lifelong Learning, University of East Anglia (UEA). She joined UEA in 2018 and specializes in early childhood literacy, inclusive education, and teacher development.

• Education: Doctor of Education (current), MA in Advanced Educational Practice, Primary PGCE, English Literature degree
• Expertise: English pedagogy, SEN coordination, Reception classroom dynamics

Her doctoral research investigates time, flow, and autonomy in Reception classrooms. She collaborates with the UEA Writing Teachers group and focuses on creating teacher-writer communities.

Recent projects include consultancy on the Impact and Evaluation of Public Libraries East of England (2022-2023) and community engagement activities like Communication Champions in Norwich (2019-2020).
