Hannah McCabe is a Senior Lecturer in Classical Music at Leeds Conservatoire. She holds a Master's degree from the Royal Northern College of Music, where she won the Concerto Competition 2009 and the Gilbert and Fell Soloist Award. Her expertise spans orchestral performance, chamber music, session work, and contemporary music. McCabe is also a Fellow of Creative and Professional Practice at the Royal Northern College of Music.

Research & Performance Interests: McCabe specializes in orchestral performance, chamber music, and session work. She is a founding member of the Phoenix Clarinet Quartet, winners of the International Clarinet Quartet Competition 2012 and recipients of the MBF Emerging Excellence Artists award. Her work also explores cross-genre collaborations, including Balkan, Roma, Klezmer, and Swing music with The Rubber Duck Orchestra. She is dedicated to contemporary music performance through groups like 'Sounds of the Engine House.'

Ensembles & Collaborations: McCabe freelances with ensembles like Manchester Camerata and the British Philharmonic Concert Orchestra. She is a multi-instrumentalist in Gifford’s Circus Live Band and a core member of Upcetera Band for BBC Folk winner Jim Moray. Her work spans theatre collaborations, TV appearances (BBC Radio 2, TV), and festivals including WOMAD and Boomtown Fair.
