HAZEL FLIGHT

Hazel Flight SL is a Senior Lecturer and Programme Lead for the BSc(Hons) Nutrition and Health Programme at Edge Hill University's Medical School. She holds a BSc in Nursing from the University of Salford (2001), MA in Professional Education from Lancaster University (2006), and MSc in Nutrition with a focus on midwifery knowledge in pregnancy from Manchester Metropolitan University (2015).

Her research explores nutrition in pregnancy, ADHD nutrition, and primary care preventative strategies. She has authored over 19 articles on topics like vitamin D in pregnancy and holiday foods' health impacts, published in The Conversation. Active in professional roles, she serves as External Examiner at Leeds Trinity and Worcester Universities and Clinical Expert Reviewer for NHS England.

Flight advocates for nutrition education across disciplines, teaching modules like Nutrition across the Lifespan and Entrepreneurship. Her work aligns with UN SDGs related to health and education, emphasizing practical application of nutritional science in clinical and community settings.
