Guillaume Leturcq is a Professor of Geography at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) since 2019, affiliated with the Interdisciplinary Department of the North Littoral Campus. He earned his doctorate in Social and Regional Geography from the University of Maine in 2011 and was awarded the University of Maine Thesis Prize in 2011.
Research Interests: His work focuses on the socio-spatial effects of energy development in Brazil, exploring themes of migration, adaptation, and living spaces. He has authored two significant books: Dams in Brazil (Springer, 2019) and Margins and Marginalities in Brazil, examining regional disparities and developmental impacts.
