Guangyan Chen

Guangyan Chen is Associate Professor of Chinese at Texas Christian University's AddRan College of Liberal Arts. She holds a PhD in Chinese Pedagogy from Ohio State University (2011), MA in Asian Civilizations from University of Iowa (2005), MA in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language from Nanjing University (2001), and BA in Chinese Language and Literature from Anhui Normal University (1998).

Her research focuses on culture-oriented language pedagogy, second language acquisition, and technology integration in Chinese instruction. She teaches all levels of Chinese language and culture courses, including Business Chinese and Chinese Civilization & Culture.

Dr. Chen's publications demonstrate consistent focus on pedagogical innovations, assessment methods, and technology applications in Chinese language education. Her work emphasizes cultural integration and practical teaching methodologies.
