Gregory Howard

Gregory Howard is an Associate Professor of Sociology at Western Michigan University. He holds a Ph.D. in Criminology from the University of New York and a B.A. in Social Ecology from the University of California. His research examines environmental justice, civil liberties, surveillance technologies, and terrorism through theoretical frameworks including evolutionary theory.

Professional experience includes:

• Evaluations of criminal justice interventions
• Consultancy with UN Office in Vienna (Centre for International Crime Prevention)
• Co-founding/editing Journal of Criminal Justice and Popular Culture

He supervises graduate research on interspecies relationships, online education validity, and historical sociology projects.
