Giulia Grillo is an Associate Lecturer in International Relations (Teaching) and Deputy Undergraduate Tutor at the Department of Political Science, University College London (UCL). She joined UCL in 2022 as a Senior Postgraduate Teaching Assistant (Senior PGTA) and holds a PhD in International Conflict Analysis from the University of Kent (2023). Her research focuses on peace and conflict studies, radicalisation processes, and political violence, with an interdisciplinary approach combining International Relations and psychology.

Research Interests: Giulia explores the origins of violence and radicalisation, emphasizing interdisciplinary methods. Her PhD thesis, Psychological Perspectives on Radicalisation Processes. Stories from the Italian Far Left, integrates psychology and conflict studies. She advocates for continuous dialogue in conflict resolution, as reflected in her 2022 blog post for Avvenire, where she critiques rigid ‘friend-enemy’ dichotomies in international negotiations.
