Dr Amanda Hall is a Senior Post Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Department of Political Science at University College London (UCL). She holds a PhD in International Relations from the University of St Andrews, an MA in Politics from Queen's University Belfast, and a BA in American Studies from Yale University. Her research focuses on the quality of peace in Northern Ireland following the 1998 Good Friday Agreement, analyzing government responses, third-sector roles, and cultural identity divisions during the 'inter-referendum' period (1998–2016). She is currently preparing her monograph, Beyond the Agreement: The Strained Peace of Inter-referendum Northern Ireland (1998–2016).
Dr Hall contributes to UCL teaching on International Conflict and Cooperation (POLS0001) and Political Violence (POLS0077). Her publications explore post-conflict dynamics, transitional justice, and the impact of Brexit on Northern Ireland’s political landscape. She has published in Irish Political Studies, the Open Library of Humanities, and online platforms.
