Giulia Costa is an Adjunct Professor and postdoctoral grant researcher at the University of Rome Tor Vergata's Department of Civil Engineering and Computer Science Engineering. She holds a Master's in Environmental Engineering (2005, University of Rome Sapienza) and a PhD in Environmental Engineering (2009, University of Rome Tor Vergata). Her research focuses on waste valorization, carbon sequestration via alkaline residue carbonation, and life cycle analysis. She contributed to EU-funded projects like UP-grading Landfill Gas and Holistic Brownfield Management. Costa has authored over 80 publications in environmental and biomedical fields, including peer-reviewed journals. She was an invited speaker at international workshops and nominated for the ISCOWA award (2015).
