Giovanni Nelson

Giovanni Nelson is an Adjunct Professor at the College of Health Sciences of the University of Bridgeport, affiliated with the UB Nutrition Institute since 2020. He holds a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine (ND) from the University of Bridgeport and has been practicing functional medicine since 2018, emphasizing root-cause analysis through clinical biochemistry, nutrigenomics, and clinical nutrition.

Education:

• BS in Molecular Biology (with a special focus on Developmental Genetics) from SUNY Stony Brook University
• ND in Naturopathic Medicine from the University of Bridgeport

Dr. Nelson's clinical work integrates functional medicine principles with molecular biology insights, offering personalized healthcare solutions in Connecticut. His practice is one of the few insurance-based functional medicine clinics in the region.
