Ghaus Rizvi

Ghaus Rizvi is a Professor at the Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, Ontario Tech University, within the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science. His research focuses on polymers, composites, and sustainable materials.

• Education: Ph.D. and MASc in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering (University of Toronto, 2003 and 1999), MS in Mechanical Engineering (San Jose State University, 1982), BE in Mechanical Engineering (Karachi University, 1977)

Rizvi's work spans wood-plastic composites, green composites, nano-composites, and tissue scaffolds, emphasizing processing techniques like extrusion and foaming. His recent publications highlight advancements in composite morphology, rheological properties, and sustainable material applications.

Scientific Awards include the G.H. Duggan Medal, Alberta Ingenuity Fellowship, NSERC Postdoctoral Fellowship, and multiple Ontario Government Scholarships.
