Georgia Teare is an Assistant Professor in the School of Kinesiology at Western University. She holds a PhD from the University of Ottawa and both an MA and BA (Hons) from the University of Waterloo.
Her research focuses on youth sport and physical activity from a management perspective, with particular emphasis on:
- Social impacts of major sport events on youth populations
- Youth engagement with sport events and leveraging that engagement for social impact
- Strategic environments for sport organizations to achieve organizational goals
- Youth sport participation through a value and value co-creation lens
Dr. Teare examines youth sport experiences from multiple perspectives including sport providers, youth participants, and parents. She is active on academic platforms including Google Scholar and LinkedIn, and maintains a professional presence on X (formerly Twitter) as @georgia_teare.
