Luc Martin

Dr. Luc Martin is an Associate Professor in the School of Kinesiology and Health Studies at Queen's University, within the Faculty of Arts and Science. His research focuses on sport psychology, particularly group dynamics and psychosocial influences in youth and elite sports. He holds a PhD (2011) and MA (2008) in Sport Psychology, and a BA (Hons) in Kinesiology (2007), all from the University of Western Ontario. Current projects explore cohesion, social identity, and leadership in sports teams to enhance the sporting environment.

Key research areas include subgroup dynamics, cultural diversity in professional teams, and the application of social identity approaches to youth development. He is affiliated with the Psychology of Sport Lab and maintains active media presence through LinkedIn and Twitter. His work emphasizes interdisciplinary research and policy-relevant outcomes.
