George Turcu is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Bowling Green State University (2013), an M.A. from the same institution (2005), and a B.A. in Mathematics from the University of Bucharest (1999). His research focuses on hypercyclic operators, as evidenced by his dissertation under advisor Kit Chan titled "Hypercyclic Extensions Of Bounded Linear Operators". He is actively involved in innovative teaching methods, particularly inquiry-based learning.
