Hayriye Gulbudak

Dr. Hayriye Gulbudak is Associate Professor of Applied Mathematics at University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She earned her Ph.D. from University of Florida and completed postdoctoral research at Georgia Tech and Arizona State University.

Her research integrates dynamical systems with biological applications, focusing on multi-scale infectious disease modeling. Work includes COVID-19 intervention analysis, dengue virus dynamics, and vector-borne pathogen evolution. She leads NSF-funded projects on disease ecology and mentors students through research opportunities.
