George Kuk

Professor George Kuk holds the position of Professor of Digital Innovation and Entrepreneurship in the Department of Operations, Technology, Events and Hospitality Management at Manchester Metropolitan University Business School. He specializes in technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship with a focus on leveraging digital technologies to address grand challenges.

His research explores emerging organizational forms enabled by technologies including open-source software, open data, 3D design and printing, Android platforms, blockchain applications, and digital complementary currencies. His work centers on technology in social practices as forms of knowledge commons and societal transformation that shape digital futures.

Professor Kuk's research employs textual, temporal, and place-based analytics to capture creativity and design patterns in digital innovation and entrepreneurship. His recent work examines blockchain applications for social good, complementary currencies in informal economies, and innovation in platform ecosystems.
