Professor George Kuk is a faculty member at Nottingham Trent University (NTU), holding the position of Professor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship within the Department of Management at the Nottingham University Business School. His research focuses on open innovation, technology and innovation management, and digital innovation, particularly examining collective action in open commons such as software, data, and design within creative industries. He explores digital footprints and strategic interactions in social coproduction enabled by information and communication technologies.
Prior to NTU, he served as Associate Professor and MSc Programme Director in Business and Management at Nottingham University Business School. He consults for companies like H&M, China Southern Rolling Stock, and China Mobile, and has delivered in-company training programs.
Externally, he has served as track chair at conferences like European Conference on Information Systems and Pacific Asia Conference on Information Systems, and as associate editor for special issues in IS and management journals.
