Shih-wei Liao

Associate Professor Shih-wei Liao is a faculty member in the Department of Information Engineering at National Taiwan University, leading the ABC Lab / NTU Consensus Lab. His research bridges blockchain technology, Fintech, and Big Data systems with real-world applications.

His research expertise spans:

• Blockchain systems (consensus protocols, environmental monitoring, Gcoin implementation)
• Fintech applications (digital currency, RegTech, automated clearinghouse)
• AI/ML optimization (CNN memory traffic, medical imaging, pollution forecasting)
• Compiler and virtual machine design (Android legacy systems)
