Geoffrey Pilkington serves as Adjunct Associate Professor of Horn at Shenandoah University's Conservatory. He holds a Bachelor of Music from The Juilliard School where he studied with Julie Landsman, including a year abroad at the Royal Academy of Music in London.
As Principal Horn of the Kennedy Center Opera House Orchestra since 2014, Pilkington has performed with leading ensembles including the Philadelphia Orchestra and San Francisco Opera. His performance highlights include featured soloist roles in Wagner Ring Cycles at the Kennedy Center and San Francisco Opera.
Pilkington has earned grand prizes in international competitions including the International Horn Competition of America and Royal Academy of Music competitions.
