Gary Webernick serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Art Department at Austin Community College (ACC), where he taught for nearly 30 years including 18 years as Art Department Chair. Having recently retired from full-time teaching, he now focuses on 3D Studio Art instruction while maintaining an active artistic practice.

A multi-media visual artist, Webernick's work spans painting, sculpture, mixed-media installations, photography, video, and book art. His interdisciplinary approach has garnered international exhibitions and features in numerous publications, with particular recognition in sculpture and installation disciplines through the Texas Sculpture Group.

- Installation Grant from the Austin Museum of Art
- Individual Artist Grant as an artist working in Anchorage Alaska
- Alaska State Travel Grant from the Alaska State Council for the Arts
His grant portfolio demonstrates consistent support for creative development, including travel funding and installation resources. As former Department Chair, Webernick mentored numerous students though specific advisees aren't documented. Current teaching includes ARTS 1312 Design II.
Webernick co-founded the Texas Sculpture Group where he serves as Vice President, Chair of Exhibits, and Board Director - a statewide affiliate of the International Sculpture Center advancing sculptural arts across Texas.
