Francesca Bianchi is a University Professor of Sociology of Cultural and Communicative Processes at the University of Siena, Department of Social, Political and Cognitive Sciences (Arezzo). She holds a PhD in Political Sociology and a postdoc from the University of Florence. Her research focuses on social transformations, everyday life analysis, and urban sustainability, employing Simmelian concepts like trust and sociability. She has conducted studies in Italy, France, and Germany, with visiting roles at Paris Descartes, Tours, Paris Nanterre, and SciencesPo.
