Fatih Sekercioglu

Dr. Fatih Sekercioglu is an Associate Professor and Director of the Planetary Health Research Lab at Toronto Metropolitan University's School of Occupational and Public Health. He holds an adjunct professorship at Western University’s Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry. His expertise spans climate change, built environments, health inequities, water quality, Indigenous health, and health policy administration.

Research Interests: Dr. Sekercioglu focuses on planetary health intersections such as climate change adaptation, environmental justice, Indigenous health sovereignty, and food/water safety systems. His Planetary Health Research Lab explores innovative solutions to global health challenges through interdisciplinary collaboration.

Labs/Teams: Director of the Planetary Health Research Lab, focusing on climate-health linkages and equity-centered research. Collaborates with Western University and public health agencies across Canada.
