Eric Yankson

Dr. Eric Yankson is a Senior Lecturer and Associate Dean for Research and Innovation at the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST). He holds dual roles in the Faculty of Natural Resources and Spatial Sciences and the Department of Architecture and Spatial Planning. His career includes research and teaching positions at the University of Louisville (USA) and the University of Alabama, where he earned his PhD in Urban and Public Affairs. Key positions include Associate Dean (2020–2023), Senior Lecturer (2019–present), and past roles as Research Coordinator and Undergraduate Programme Coordinator at NUST.

His research focuses on the political economy of urban development, particularly in the Global South. Core themes include land governance, sustainable development, participatory planning, and the interplay between globalization and local governance. He applies spatial analysis to link land use, transportation, and public health outcomes.
