Eric Reyes Loo

Eric Reyes Loo is a part-time lecturer at the Department of Cinematic Arts, College of the Arts, California State University, Long Beach. A Los Angeles-based television writer/producer and playwright, he has worked on comedy and drama series while developing film and TV projects with major networks and production companies.

Education:

• MFA in Dramatic Writing from New York University, Tisch School of the Arts
• BA in English with double minors in Theatre and Dance from Santa Clara University

Professional Experience:

• Staff writer on AwesomenessTV/Hulu drama series Guidance, promoted to Co-Producer
• Executive Story Editor on Netflix comedy A.J. and the Queen
• Participant in Film Independent Imaginar TV Incubator for Fearless Latinx Creators
• Active member of Chalk Repertory Theatre and Writers Guild of America

Current Projects:

• Play Simple Mexican Pleasures premiering at San Francisco's New Conservatory Theatre Center in April 2025
• Developing half-hour series with RaqMar Entertainment (producers of Acapulco on Apple TV+)
