Dr. Eric O. Poole is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Music at Howard University's College of Fine Arts. He concurrently serves as Music Director for University Events and Interim Director of Music at the Andrew Rankin Memorial Chapel. His faculty responsibilities include teaching applied voice, choral conducting, and directing the Howard University Choir. As Music Director, he leads artistic programming and conducts performances at university convocations and weekly chapel services.

He has prepared ensembles for premieres of significant compositions including Adolphus Hailstork's America's Requiem: A Knee on the Neck and Wynton Marsalis' Abyssinian Mass.
Dr. Poole actively engages as a clinician for choral workshops across the Mid-Atlantic region, working with ensembles from multiple U.S. states including California, New York, and South Carolina.
